Let's go Outback tonight....

LOTD - Wow today was a busy day on twitter....pretty much every person I follow (paleo related) is at the first annual Ancestral Health Symposium in LA and tweeting the whole time about what they're learning.  Here is the list of the classes/speakers.....good stuff.

VOTD - Ronaldo's out of control

And here's just a gratuitous Ronaldo top ten video for A.....

Friday:
Sleep 10-530 (7.5)

Breakfast 645am
Leftover salmon and asparagus

830am - small coconut water

1030am - Tazo tea

Lunch - 1200pm The Harp
Wasn't planning on going here today. As you can see it's a little similar to breakfast!!! I only had a few forkfuls of the rice. I didn't realize it came with asparagus ("vegetable of the day") so now my pee will really smell for the rest of the day!! Was thinking of getting crab legs again from outback but I think I've had my fill of fish for the day.

Fire Roasted Tilapia - Tilapia, cilantro citrus rice and vegetable of the day topped with zesty citrus sauce

230pm - Green tea* (CAFFEINE ALERT!!)
Needed a little something today. Headache was creeping back in for some reason even though good 2 days prior.  I don't think I'm breaking the caffeine bank with green tea though!

Dinner - 445pm Outback
Filet Wedge Salad w/ blue cheese (cheat!) and 1 glass ice tea (CAFFEINE!!).  I love there blue chees wedge salad.

700pm - slice of GF baby Swiss

Didn't really snack today except for the cheese at night.  I want to limit my snacking of nuts and only eat those sparingly.  Not that they're bad but want to eat enough at meals so I don't feel the need to snack as much (like today).

Tomorrow - nice little saturday....First Watch for breakfast, farmers market, Lowe's for a stand alone freezer for Bessie, and studying.  Like to get a run in as well.

A little lower back ache today from deadlifts the other day.  But more aching from the "carb flu" / caffeine withdrawal.....take your pick.  But the caffeine withdrawal has been MUCH better than I expected.  So far so good, no cravings for anything that's not on my list.  Outback tomorrow night for dinner again.....may have to get the crab legs again.

Thursday:
Sleep 900-530 (8.5)

Breakfast 630am
Bacon (nf), eggs*, salad (fm)

930am - Tazo tea (decaf)
1000am - handful of nuts (mac, alm, cash, pist)
1100am - made some wild berry herbal iced tea (decaf)

Lunch - 1200pm Mixed Greens
Salad with Romaine, tomatoes, broccoli. carrots, sunflower seeds, one small scoop balsamic, shrimp

300pm - rest of the nuts I brought and a Tazo tea (decaf.....I guess from now on I'll specify if something is caffeinated and not decaf)

Dinner - 645pm
Was going to eat the salmon from last night but wasn't in the mood so I just opted for more bacon and eggs. I'll eat the salmon and asparagus for breakfast tomorrow.

Sleep 845-600 (9.25!!!) I was tired last night after no caffeine, no sugar, and a short run. I started reading in bed and that lasted about 5 minutes.

Breakfast 830am

1030am - handful of nuts and made some iced tea with the cherry herbal tea (decaf)
Lunch 1245pm

Tuesday:
Sleep 10-6 (8)
Breakfast 645am
Eggs* (usual), bacon (nf), salad (lettuce (fm), tomatoes (fm), carrots*, olive oil). Made a big bowl of salad so that'll be for lunch and more.

845am - Tazo passion herbal tea (decaf)

1030am - small handful of nuts (macadamia, almond, cashew, pistachio mixture)

1115am - honey & lemon herbal tea (decaf)

Not hungry at lunch time so pushed that back. Caffeine headaches started creeping in around 1230pm, much later than I anticipated them! I'll keep drinking the decaf tea to try and trick myself but I don't expect it to work much longer.

1245pm Tazo passion herbal tea (decaf)

Lunch 215pm
Chicken thighs and salad. Ate about half and was fine so I threw the chicken in the salad for later this afternoon. I'll eat before I leave so I don't have to worry about that when I run tonight. Plan on doing 2 miles easy in my Vibrams.

300pm - chamomile tea (decaf)....this was nasty

Ended up not being hungry so didn't finish lunch before I left work.

630pm - 2 mile easy run
Coconut water before and after run (one of the small containers, 1/2 before and 1/2 after)

Dinner - 745pm
Stuffed pepper (GF ground round) (fm), kale

Decaffeinated coffee is kind of like kissing your sister. ~Bob Irwin

I love how only 3 cups of coffee in the morning is me severely cutting back my caffeine intake but if A drank that she wouldn't sleep tonight! Anyway....prepare for the bitchiness.....I'm (yet again) weening myself off of caffeine! Although it has been quite some time since I've tried this, maybe not since early 2010? Well, I need to so this week I'll be reducing my coffee as the days go on and replacing some with green tea and then limiting that as well until next Monday when I will have zero caffeine for the rest of August. If I need it after that I'll limit it.

Funny TweetOTD - @JimGaffigan (whose wife just gave birth to 4th kid a few weeks ago):
"Last night I explained to my 5 year old son that the dark is not nearly as scary as your wife bringing home a pregnancy test"

'We call that bait' ~Terry Bradshaw

I was trying to the find the commercial where Terry Bradshaw talks about sushi as bait for dad. I couldn't find it for some reason....but this was the first video that popped up so enjoy an oldie but goodie...

LOTD - Still counting calories?
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/19/health/19brody.html?_r=3
“There are good foods and bad foods, and the advice should be to eat the good foods more and the bad foods less,” he said. “The notion that it’s O.K. to eat everything in moderation is just an excuse to eat whatever you want.”

Sunday.....
Sleep 1130-800
2 cups of coffee

Wasn't hungry when woke up so skipped breakfast and opted for some sushi for lunch from Giant Eagle, 20 oz diet dew....

Then I binged a little on some tortilla chips I got for A's chicken tortilla soup along with a handful of pretzel M&M's.  Probably shouldn't have skipped breakfast!!

Got some sausage stuffed zucchini and mushrooms as well as some spinach and feta stuffed mushrooms from Giant Eagle today for din dins.

600pm - I had all the mushrooms since A doesn't like them ("It's a texture thing!") along with the rest of her chicken tortilla soup and a Guinness for Strength.

And another....

Aaaaaaannnnnnnddddddd 1 more....
